Overview
Delve into Warmth is a 16-page accordion zine built around an imagined journey beneath the ocean. The descent moves through changing layers of light, color, and atmosphere, using the underwater landscape as a metaphor for memories of childhood and family. I developed the illustrations as a continuous sequence so the book could be experienced both page by page and as one unfolding image.
Unfolded Sequence
The 16 illustrated pages form a continuous underwater journey, designed to be read both sequentially and as a fully unfolded accordion.
Process
I first mapped the 16-page sequence as a storyboard to establish the descent, pacing, and transitions between memories. The final illustrations were then translated into a three-color RISO print, using layered inks and texture to reinforce the shifting underwater atmosphere.
